This is XXL media kit , that i have been looking at the see and research about magazines and their audience and selling ponits . This media kit is the most recent media kit i could find however this can vary compare to the media if found today.
This is just an intro to the media kit , telling us just a little bit about the magazine.Even tough the magazine is a hip hop magazine , Hip hop and RnB are close linked and can be seen as sub genres to each other. This is why i research this magazine because it was still appropriate to my music genre. This page continues to talk about the page views and it looks like xxl magazine have a wide fan base and is coming to grow in it's fan base
By this conclusion about the readers ,i can see that the readers that read this genre type of magazine is mostly a male audience rather than women and the average age of the reader is 27 , this number is low in terms of age however we can see that the magazine attracts a maturer audience rather a younger audience which may be more into the digital side of magazine .
Harry publication was the first publisher to publish xxl magazine , this based in new york and came around during the 70's and the publish all sorts of books and magazine both fiction and non-fiction. however in 2014 that all changed when town square toke the xxl from Harry publication, Townsquare is based in greenwich in america and it was founded in 1997. This is mass media company that not only does magazines but radio and a lot of digital media
further more on to more specific stats , this cover race, gender and a range of ages involved. As i looked at the magazine stats can conclude that the women readers are lower than a half . This indicates that this magazine may be aimed at men mostly however i don't want my magazine to appeal to many one gender . The ethnicity of the magazine is really popular among African/Americans however the percentage for the other ethnicity are below a half . this indicates which type of audience my magazine will possibility appeal to . And including the age group of the readers shows me that readers in there mid ages are more likely to read a magazine rather than a younger or older audience .
